Pretty Much The Entire Area is Under a Marginal Risk for Severe Weather

The SPC in Norman, OK has placed just about everyone in the county coverage area. Under a marginal risk for severe weather. This means that some storms we could see today could be strong to possibly severe.
All of our severe weather threats are low today. Although, everything today is possible. Some damaging winds, small hail is possible today as well. With a low-pressure system moving through the area today. It’s creating a spin in the atmosphere. This means that a spin up of a tornado can not be ruled out. With the ground kind of saturated already that means any more prolonged heavy rain could cause some possible flooding.
The model you are looking at above is the NAM 3K model. Around 4 PM today that low-pressure should be moving through the area. Showers and storms should continue through the afternoon into the evening tapering off around 10 PM tonight.
