The Storm Prediction Center has placed part of The Miami Valley under a marginal risk for severe weather. Forecasters at the SPC has even brought the marginal risk more south than it was yesterday. So the marginal risk now includes the Dayton area. A marginal risk for severe weather means that with the showers and storms we do see today. A few storms could be strong at times.
Today severe threats aren’t high at all. Everything is sitting at low as of now. The biggest threats we will have to watch out for tonight will be damaging winds and some possible hail.
A line of showers and storms will develop in parts of northwest Ohio and parts of Indiana. The line will pick up in intensity and coverage as it moves southeast. Again some of theses storms could be a little strong. Rain should move into the northwestern part of the area between 3 PM and 4 PM. Rain should move into the Dayton area between 6 PM and 7 PM. The rain should then move out of the area between 12 midnight and 1 AM.
